The size, type, and delivery details of each project determines the amount of time needed. At any given time, we are booked through the current calendar month. Projects are scheduled 3-12 months in advance.
To secure a delivery date, each project must reach the measurement confirmation stage of the process, and HAA must receive a materials deposit payment.

To build a quote we need the following items:
-What you would like built.
-Location of the project.
-Any elevations/drawings of the project.
-Any images of the space or inspiration for the build.
-Amount of creative flexibility for the project.
-Any important contacts relevant to the job, such as designers, contractors, and any other collaborators.
-Materials (if decided upon).
-Any integrated hardware plans such as lighting, plumbing, and appliances.
-Desired schedule.
-Accessibility information such as stairs, elevators, whether or not the space will be occupied, hours the space is available, etc.

Quote : We build a quote/quote range for all elements in the project, and establish an initial desired schedule for the project. Each quote provided is available to move into the contract/design retainer phase for 30 days, after which the quote will be updated to reflect changing market rates for materials and labor.
Contract : Both parties agree upon the rights/usage of the project, as well as the range for total project cost. Any additional elements not in the initial contract will receive their own separate contracts as upgrades.
Design Phase : A nonrefundable design retainer payment of 10% of the highest quoted amount is required to enter into the design phase of the project, in addition to a signed contract. During this time we provide drawings, to-scale renderings, material samples and even to-scale mockups to facilitate the final decisions for the build. The design phase includes an initial agreed upon number of drawings and samples, but clients have the ability to purchase more samples and design iterations if requested.
Measurement Confirmation : At this point, the measurements and plan for the build are confirmed, and the delivery/install date is booked. Upon confirmation, we coordinate with contractors and designers to finalize plans and schedule the delivery/installation. A materials deposit payment is required at measurement confirmation for 50% of the total project cost. After receiving this payment, our team can begin the Build phase of the project.
Build : Our team works on your project while keeping an open line of communication. Sneak-peek photographs happen at this time. Once the build is completed, an in-shop completion payment of 15% of the total project cost is due.
Delivery : Our team carefully delivers the pieces to their final destination. Payment is due upon delivery of items. If the project is delivery only (no installation), we require the final 25% payment at this time. If the project includes installation, 15% of total payment is due upon delivery, with the remaining 10% upon completion.
Photography : We take photos during the build phase, upon the completion, and after installation. These photos are for our internal operations (future design meetings etc.) as well as for our marketing and social media. We request that any professional photographs of the space be shared with HAA, and any photos of the work are appropriately credited.

While the majority of our clients are in the San Francisco Bay Area, we are able to deliver or ship items across the U.S. When working outside of our local range, we do require clients sign a specific measurement and delivery liability waiver.
