From the back, the two chairs both have a resin point at their crest, which makes the design feel similarly aligned, intentional and "upright", then when one looks into the front faces of the chairs, the conversation between the two of them becomes apparent.
These two chairs feature quiet changes in their featured circles, like phases of the moon shifting subtly from night to night.
We wanted to provide the sensation of a freeze-framed zoetrope, like time is taking a moment to catch its breath, you can see both positions at once, but they are both balanced and equally aligned.
The real magic of these chairs happens when they are viewed from the front and brightly backlit, the changes in the vignettes gives the viewer every possible combination they could desire in the chairs.
