Maintenance

Wooden furniture pieces are susceptible to scratches if not cared for. 

Avoid dragging objects across the surface of your furniture. 

Use adhesive felt pads, trivets, coasters, and placemats to help prevent scratches.

Over time, air and sunlight will slightly alter the color of natural wood. In order to allow a uniform color to develop, occasionally rotate your furniture and any items placed on top so that all areas are equally exposed to sunlight.

If your furniture is finished with Rubio Monocoat Oil:

Do not use chemical cleaning products on your furniture.

For daily care, clean your furniture with a damp cloth and wipe dry.

For a deeper cleaning or tough spots we recommend the “Surface Care Spray” from Rubio Monocoat. 

To refresh and restore your furniture after a few years’ use, use the “Renew” from Rubio Monocoat, be sure to follow the directions and allow six days for the finish to completely dry after using Renew.
